  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key carriers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders, ensuring collaboration on operational issues and service improvements.
  • Coordinate with carriers to secure space on vessels, track vessel schedules, and resolve issues related to ocean freight delays, disruptions, or changes in capacity.

  • Monitor ocean freight costs and identify areas where savings can be made without sacrificing service quality.
  • Analyze cost and performance data to negotiate better rates or services from carriers, optimizing costs for both the company and customers.
  • Ensure that all ocean shipments comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Mitigate risks associated with ocean freight by staying informed of potential disruptions, geopolitical factors, and changes in maritime regulations that may impact trade lanes.
  • Oversee the resolution of operational and regulatory issues related to shipping routes, customs clearances, and delivery timelines.
