Email Policy

This policy sets out the Skylink network criteria design for global code of ethics.

Overview

This policy sets out Skylink network’s security measures to provides a framework for secure, acceptable, and appropriate use of email. This policy also specifies the actions that the individual (connected with Skylink Networks) will take when investigating security incidents and data breaches. By using  Skylink Networks email, everyone consenting the terms of use described in the policy. The sender of email must decide whether the content is legal, acceptable, and appropriate.

Scope

This policy applies on everyone who works at Skylink Network in any measurements, full-time, part-time or casual, including temporary employees and contractors.

Principles

Skylink Network Email Policy promotes the efficient, ethical, and lawful use of emails. Protecting and preserving the organization resources are parts of cooperative efforts, which require each member of the Skylink community to act responsibly and guard against any breaches.

  • All emails created in the course of business or study are Skylink Networks’ property, regardless of where the emails are stored. Skylink Networks reserves the right to conduct searches of email accounts in order to comply with its obligation under the Data Protection Act 2018, The General Data Protection  Regulation (GDPR) and the freedom of Information Act.
  • Staff will lose access to their Skylink Networks’ email account when they leave Skylink Network.
  • Student will lose access to their Skylink Networks’ email account when they leave Skylink Network.
  • Skylink Networks reserves the right to access the email of staff that have left Skylink Networks, if there is a legitimate business need. Staff are responsible for ensuring that any non- business emails are deleted from their account before leaving.
  • Email should be used for professional, work-related purposes.
  • All emails must comply with local and international laws regarding email communication, including anti-spam regulations and data protection laws.
  • The company reserves the right to monitor all email communications to ensure compliance with this policy and for security purposes.

Responsibility

The IT Policy shall be implemented by the IT Administrator to maintain the above quality management systems throughout the Skylink network.

Compliance and Review

The IT Department is responsible for establishing, overseeing, and assessing achievement against measurable objectives in relation to goals set out in this policy.

The IT Department is responsible for all other objectives and initiatives set out in this policy.

Infringement of this Policy

Skylink network has a long-standing commitment to conduct our business in compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations and in accordance with the highest ethical business principles and any violations of the policy will lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal of personnel/contract cancellation.
